Trusting a loved one to the care of others can be one of the hardest decisions a family member makes. We hope that our family member will be respected and cared for the way he or she needs and deserves. However, sometimes this is not the case.
That’s where our trained and certified ombudsmen come in. These volunteers work tirelessly to advocate for vulnerable elderly and disabled adults. They help resolve conflicts. When there is a violation of a resident’s rights, these advocates step in to act on behalf of the resident. In short, these advocates ensure quality of life and care for all residents living in long-term care facilities across Washington state.
Funding for this program comes through state and federal funds. Our budget is very limited to support this statewide effort, and funding continues to shrink each year.
Your financial contributions help ensure that elderly and disabled individuals will have quality of care and quality of life well into the future. Thank you!
